This is a good question. I do agree that it can sometimes not be the children as such but sometimes the parents who can not or will not even try to calm them down if they are having a tantrum in a particularly quiet or serious moment. I also agree its up to the bride and groom and they can try to be nice about it?

i dont know what i think about this jigs. i kinda think its a bit mean, but i also think its a sign of the times - society has changed and consumerist, individualist and maybe sometimes selfish approaches to things like this are commonplace. i do agree its up to the couple but i do find it funny that its such a big deal to so many people, judging by some of the comments on the bbc article.
The whole wedding industry is bonkers anyway and also for some people its so clear that the focus on the day itself can sometimes detract away from the purpose - which should surely be about celebrating your love for one another surrounded by all the people you love and care for.
I agree a lot of it is all about me, rather then us, but I fear that it is really a reflection of the society we live in, which is a bit sad really. The wedding we went to recently was lovely, the Reverend said something really nice, the more he has lived and seen of the world the more he realizes that the most important things in life are relationships, relationships should be celebrated and nurtured.
